Jaipur


Founded in 1727 by Jai Singh II, Jaipur is known as the pink city because of its dominant pink color. The city is named after its founder “Jai” only. Being the capital of this desert state, Jaipur is in the news most of the time because of its political nature. The capital is also home to some of the most beautiful monuments in India. Jantar Mantar


It is one of the world’s oldest astronomical observatories in the world. This holds the record for being the largest sundial in the world. It is no longer functional but acts as a museum and attracts visitors from around the world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO and has been a center of attraction for numerous astronomers, mathematicians, historians, and geographers.


Hawa mahal


This five-story structure is known for its architecture which allows perfect ventilation and allows a constant supply of air throughout the day. The structure of the building resembles a honeycomb of a beehive coupled with numerous windows which make the flow of air so very perfect. The palace that was once used by the ladies of the royal family to observe the street is now a famous tourist spot.


Nahargarh fort


This fort is built along the Aravali range is one of the largest forts in India. This magnificent fort is just three kilometers away from the beautiful Hawa mahal. Jaipur was once famous for its tigers, this is where the fort derives its name from, for Nahargarh means “abode of tigers”.


Birla Mandir


This temple, dedicated to goddess Laxmi and Lord Vishnu, this temple was built by B.M. Birla foundation in 1988. The whole temple is made of white marble and has a separate section for Geeta and Upnishads.


Panna Meena ka Kund


A square-shaped stepwell is one of the most unique tourist attractions of the city. The well becomes a great attraction during the summers as temperature drops significantly inside the well.


City palace of Jaipur


This palace stands apart from the rest of the other palaces because of its excellent architecture and design. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 1727.
